Software QA Engineer

Description : In this position you will work closely with development
teams and individual engineers to understand requirements and
functionality in order to develop and execute manual and automated
test cases methodically exercising and validating complex management
and troubleshooting solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to
master new communication technologies, operating systems, and software
as well as creatively using a variety of programming languages,
testing tools, and environments. You will be responsible for working
across multiple teams with a combination of hands-on testing,
architecting test strategies, designing test suites, and developing
software integrating into an automated testing infrastructure.

Qualifications : Must have the following qualifications: Bachelors or
Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. At least
3 years of solid experience in software testing in a software
development environment. Experience in designing and executing
comprehensive test plans for commercial applications. In depth
knowledge of various testing methodologies and tools. User and
administrator level experience with Windows, Solaris, HP-UX, or Linux
operating systems. Strong coding skills with expertise in Perl,
shell, Java, C, and/or C++ programming. Excellent problem solving and
troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication
skills. Excellent teamwork skills. Self-starter. Willing and able to
quickly learn new applications and technologies. Experience in
dealing with multiple projects and working with cross-functional teams
Ability to effectively manage diverse tasks and correctly prioritize
multiple deadlines.

Desired qualifications: Development experience with multi-platform,
automated regression test suites. Experience in leading and/or
managing a test team or QA group. Performance and stress testing
expertise. Experience with IP-based networking protocols, Voice over
IP applications, and/or equipment. Setup and operation experience
with Internet oriented services and applications such as email, web
hosting, LDAP, Oracle or MySQL Databases,
